Zafar Abbas, the owner/founder of the Jafaria Disaster Cell, is a very renowned social worker from Pakistan. From offering people free food to being there for them in times of crisis, he has earned the utmost respect and love from everyone. Along with a group of friends who had a passion for social work, Zafar Abbas established the JDC Welfare Organization in 2009. Zafar Abbas was also praised by Abdul Sattar Edhi for his unwavering passion for serving humanity and looking after the underprivileged people.
Zafar Abbas’s Education and Professional Career
Syed Zafar Abbas Jafri was born in Karachi on June 13, 1983, to a middle-class family. After completing his graduation from the University of Karachi, he started his professional career in the field of Sales and Marketing. He has worked in some very prominent firms, including Pakistan Agro Chemical and Medicam Pvt. Ltd as a sales representative. Later, he got better opportunities and worked in executive posts at Royal Crown Cola U.S.A. and Maaza Pakistan.

Even while at the peak of his professional career’s success, he never stopped his acts of community service and was always available for people whenever they needed him, be it a bomb blast or an earthquake. Zafar Abbas has completely dedicated his life to serving the underprivileged and being there for them during challenging and difficult times.
Free Food For All
Zafar Abbas knows well how to tackle social issues faced by the lower class and always provides valuable solutions. He is also known as one of the best organizers of public events, especially the setup of kitchens that provide free food to each and every visitor, no matter what status, caste, or religion they belong to. He is an avid supporter of serving people quality food along with dignity and respect, and not just food. He believes that every person who gets to eat food from the free food dastarkhwan deserves to be treated without any sort of discrimination. Everybody deserves to be respected and treated well.
Free Facilities For Dialysis Patients
Currently, they have been providing dialysis facilities free of cost to more than 57,000 patients every year. Zafar Abbas is also working towards establishing free diagnostic lab facilities for people to help them cater to their medical expenses.
Free Of Cost IT Center
Zafar Abbas believes working for youth empowerment is very important. He has set up an IT center from where more than 63,000 individuals have learned the art of e-commerce and established their own successful businesses.
Free Education for All
Zafar Abbas believes quality education is very important and must be given to everybody. This helps young adults not only develop themselves but also work towards a better professional career. With JDC, Zafar Abbas has hired staff who are educating the underprivileged children of Pakistan so they can grow up to contribute to the success of society and secure their future.
Services During the Covid-19 Pandemic
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, Zafar Abbas made sure to provide help to all the people who needed it. He distributed free-of-cost ration bags to the underprivileged every day for almost an entire year. In addition to this, his hospital took care of many covid patients. Moreover, Zafar Abbas also distributed free medical tools and oxygen in huge quantities to the needy people.
Services When the Flood Hit Pakistan
Zafar Abbas has always been at the forefront whenever any natural disaster, like floods hit Pakistan. He not only raises his voice for the affected people but also rescues them and provides them with money, shelter, and food so they can survive in the times of crisis. Previously, he sent tons of trucks full of equipment and basic necessities that the people might need to the areas affected by floods.
