NED University of Engineering and Technology has made noteworthy changes to its admission criteria for the academic year 2024 in response to the destructive results of the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi. The NEd University admission 2024 rules decision, was made in response to extensive criticism of the intermediate examination results, which sparked inquiries into purported anomalies and close analysis.
Exam Problems Found:
The former caretaker government of Sindh formed a committee to investigate the matter after looking into false results of the intermediate examination. Startling anomalies were found by the committee, especially in the areas of English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. After it was discovered that the results had been manipulated, eight Karachi Intermediate Board officers were found to have been involved.
Revised Ned University admission 2024 Rules:
Due to the false results and fixing things, Ned has decided to revise its admission criteria. Previously, prospective students were required to attain a minimum of 60% marks in their intermediate examinations to be eligible to sit for the university’s admission test. The university has since dropped this bar, enabling applicants to take the admission test if they received at least 55% of their grades on their intermediate exams.
Approval Pending:
While the university’s administration has decided to adjust the admission criteria, the formal notification regarding these revisions is pending approval from the university’s syndicate. Once approved, the updated admission policy will be communicated to prospective applicants.
Admission Test Schedule:
The admission test for the upcoming academic session is scheduled to take place in May, as per the announcement made by the NED administration. This test will serve as a crucial step for students aspiring to enroll in various departments at NED University for the academic year 2024.
