‘Imtiaz Abbasi’ is the founder of Imtiaz Super Market. This business success story began in 1955. Imtiaz began as a modest corner store with the straightforward notion of offering more for less. His first plan was to open a modest shop where he could sell common products that people would need daily. Mr. Imtiaz had the idea to create Imtiaz Super Store, a store that would improve people’s lives, as his company evolved over the years. He had a vision to serve people by assisting them in making cost-effective purchases today; a vision to work hard and win over their clients with love.
What was the reason for expanding Imtiaz?
The Bahadurabad store’s overcrowding was the only thing that the customers ever complained about. The store would get incredibly busy on the weekends, especially the first 10 days of the month. In order to display more products and provide adequate space for customers to move around comfortably, the aim was for all new outlets to have larger covered areas. Customers’ desire for one-stop shopping options was what inspired the development of the department store format. When Imtiaz first began, buying maheenay ka rashan—rice, flour, sugar, salt, cooking oil, and spices—was the main focus of his grocery shopping. These days, going shopping is perceived as a pleasurable family adventure rather than a necessary work. Nowadays, convenience, variety, quality, and affordability are key components of the retail experience.
The middle-income market accounts for the lion’s share of our revenue. However, Imtiaz maintains a low pricing policy, making our products accessible to all customers. Customers with refined tastes value the variety of high-quality brands available, while others enjoy the shopping process.

The popular logo of the Supermarket
The early Imtiaz logo featured a shopping cart, a symbol of the fantastic retail chain’s first aim and vision to provide clients with the best services. Nevertheless, this logo was updated in 2020 to match the persona of the #NEWONE. The logo’s symbols stand for the company’s new vision and mission. They include the Star, which represents embracing change and excellence; the happy customer, which values customers and stakeholders; the tick, which stands for moral business practices; and the arch, which represents strength and support. Imtiaz has been included with the symbols to show that it is a full-service home store with three distinct formats: Imtiaz Mega, Imtiaz Super Market, and Imtiaz Xpress.
