Since his father had purchased a computer and worked on computer programming, Sunny initially followed his father’s tracks, gaining the valuable skills of software development, repairing computer hardware, and other computer-related expertise at an early age while he was still in grade 8 of his education.
Sunny Ali’s Career in Computer Engineering
After graduating from Bahria College in the early 1990s, Sunny kickstarted his career in computer engineering with the skills he had learned from his father’s profession. Sunny was also a network professional, holding various network certifications, including one from Cisco. He soon shifted to Singapore, where he worked as an IT consultant. Shortly after his shift to Singapore in 2001, Sunny went to Malaysia.
Australia and Sunny Ali’s First Business
After his stay in Malaysia, where he worked as an IT professional, Sunny shifted to Australia, where he continued his career as a network consultant and soon got Australia’s immigration, becoming a permanent Australian resident.
Australia was the first country where Sunny tried to start his own business, where his company would offer consultant services. He already possessed the skills of software development, which were further honed by providing his IT consultant services.

As Sunny described, during the 2008 economic crisis in Australia, his business staggered, causing him to fall into bankruptcy. This was one of the three bankruptcies Sunny faced, and he stated that the economy was a global crisis. With the business’s downfall, Sunny shifted back to Malaysia, and since he personally liked Malaysia, it soon became his permanent residency.
Malaysia and E-commerce Journey
No experience is a waste of time, and Sunny learned from his business’s downfall in Australia not to depend on one country’s fluctuating economy. Hence, he shifted his IT services business to e-commerce, featuring products in the online market, and starting his company for the second time.
Sunny explained that while living in Malaysia, he would ship products internationally to customers in the United States and the United Kingdom. The idea of working in Malaysia for US and UK customers was to lower expenses while maximizing products.
